STATE-OF-THE-ART MANUFACTURING PROCESS

 

XEOMIN® is made through a unique precision manufacturing process called XTRACT TechnologyTM by Merz, that uses two filtration steps to isolate the therapeutic component of the molecule and removes the complexing/unnecessary proteins that don’t play an active role in treatment.

 

XEOMIN® is a double-filtered neurotoxin. Head-to-head studies evaluating the relative risk of immunogenicity due to the presence or absence of complexing/unnecessary proteins have not been performed

 

What are the precautions after the treatment?

After treatment, you can use cosmetics or skincare products as usual, but avoid excessive rubbing or pressing on the treatment area. After treatment, you can do body exercises and resume daily activities as usual, but you should avoid leaning heavily and avoid drinking within 24 hours. Facial treatment, massage and steam baths should not be performed within a week.

What is Botulinum Toxin Resistance?

Botulinum toxin resistance is the formation of neutralising antibodies against botulinum toxin treatments, which causes declining treatment effects or in the worst case, leads to complete non-response. This may be triggered by the presence of impurities* found in most botulinum toxin products.

What is Botulinum Toxin Treatment?
